Reception Teacher
Salary MPR/UPR
£22,917 - £38,633 per annum

Richard Coates is an incredible place to teach. We are looking to appoint, from 1 September 2018, a highly motivated, well organised and outstanding practitioner to teach in Reception. This is a one year fixed term contract, although there may be other opportunities that arise throughout the year.

Applications will be considered from both new and experienced teachers who have high expectations and promote high achievement through engagement and play. The post may be of particular interest to an NQT wishing to begin, or complete their initial year. We can offer full induction and mentoring support.

Pupils’ behaviour is exemplary (Ofsted and SIAMS) and the staff are a dedicated team of professionals who work closely and supportively with each other. This is an exciting time for the school as we are currently in a transitional phase changing from a middle school to a primary school and joining together with our partnership primary and secondary schools to form a Multi – Academy Trust. We currently have children on roll from Nursery to Year 8. In September 2019 our Key Stage 3 pupils will move into Ponteland High School when it becomes a secondary school. Working in close partnership with other schools affords great opportunities for professional development and future employment opportunities for the successful candidate.

Located in Ponteland on the outskirts of Newcastle upon Tyne there are excellent public transport links, yet it enjoys the countryside benefits of being located within the picturesque county of rural Northumberland.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff to share this commitment. An enhanced DBS disclosure is required for this post as well as undertaking any training that is required for the role.

Further information about the school can be found on our website www.richardcoatesceprimary.co.uk

If you would like to discuss the post in more detail, or would like to visit the school for a look around, please do not hesitate to contact school by phone or email.

Application packs are available to download from this advert.

Completed application forms should be returned to school by 9.00 am on Friday 18 May 2018.

It is anticipated that interviews will take place on Friday 25 May 2018. Shortlisted candidates will be informed by email on the afternoon of the closing date.
