Required from 1 September 2018 teachers with experience and/or interest in teaching pupils with autism and associated difficulties.
All our pupils have significant learning difficulties and complex needs. The range of abilities stretches from P Levels to lower National Curriculum levels.

All teachers have subject co-ordinator responsibilities; please state your particular curriculum strengths in your application.

Thomas Bewick is a successful specialist school for pupils with autism aged between three and nineteen years. Ofsted reported the school as being ‘good’ in April 2016. Thomas Bewick is a Foundation Trust school and forms part of the Newcastle Special Schools Trust (known as The Compass Trust).

We are strongly committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. Successful applicants will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS disclosure and a range of other recruitment checks.
