We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated support assistant who will be committed to working alongside a supportive and dynamic team to continue to raise standards and achievement across our school. Main duties of this post will be to work with identified pupils on an individual basis.

The ARC (Additionally Resourced Centre) currently has EBD pupils, from schools across Newcastle. It has one full time teacher and one full time SEN teaching assistant. The pupils are placed in the ARC by an ARC referral system. They normally remain in the ARC for about 2 years.

Cheviot Primary School is part of the Newcastle North West Learning Trust established on 1 September 2013. Therefore employment is managed through the Governing Body in accordance with school organisation regulations.

The school is strongly committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. The successful applicant will be required to obtain an Enhanced Certificate of Disclosure from the DBS and a range of other recruitment checks.
