We are seeking an experienced Shop Assistant to assist in the running of the shop in the Laing Art Gallery, the city’s flagship arts venue. The Laing shop combines a traditional art gallery souvenir shop with a range of contemporary jewellery and crafts, including ceramics and glassware.
You will be an experienced retailer, used to delivering a high standard of customer service in a target driven environment. You will also be comfortable merchandising product, working with sales information and handling cash. The successful candidate will have a 4 week working pattern, involving weekend and public holiday working and occasional evenings.
Experience of retail sales, cash handling and display techniques are essential for this role.
