We are seeking to employ a Care Support Worker to the Short Term Support Service in the West of Northumberland. The main aim of the service is to provide specialist care within outcome focused service delivery to adults living in their own homes. The service user groups include people who require rehabilitative care following hospital admissions as a result of i.e. a stroke, fall, fracture, surgery or a short term illness. This is achieved using specialist knowledge and integrated working with qualified physiotherapists and occupational therapists in meeting the needs of service users whilst promoting choice, independence and quality of life. Close team working with colleagues and excellent communication is integral to the success of the service delivery.
The service operates on an early and late shift basis between the parameters of 7:00 am & 10:00 p.m. 365 days per year.
The successful applicant will have a minimum qualification of NVQ level 2, or be committed to achieve The Care Certificate Award, and also possess the ability to undertake further identified specialist training to meet the requirements of the post.
It is also essential that the successful candidates can fully meet the transport requirements of the post, for which expenses will be paid in accordance with the organisations Single Status agreement rates.
