The Governors of St. Joseph’s RC Middle School are seeking to appoint an inspirational, dynamic and dedicated Catholic to the position of Deputy Headteacher. The successful applicant will be subject leader for mathematics and will also play a vital role in leading teaching, learning and assessment throughout school with enthusiasm and passion. St. Joseph’s is a flourishing school with three form entry and is part of a Specialist Arts College specialising in music, arts and drama and it is held in high esteem by parents and the community.
We are seeking to appoint a Deputy Headteacher who:
• Is a practising Catholic committed to the ethos and vision of Catholic
Education.

• Sets an excellent example of classroom practice and demonstrates
commitment to high expectations of children’s attainment and behaviour.

• Is an outstanding teacher and subject leader with a proven record for
enabling progress and inspiring colleagues to raise standards.

• Is an excellent communicator with a strong commitment to working in
partnership with the leadership team, staff, parents, governors, parishes and
the community to drive growth and development of the school in the future.

• Will support the Headteacher in the strategic role of raising our standards of
achievement – both academically and pastorally.
