The service has developed a new studio craft pottery workshop and is seeking to appoint an instructor to oversee and further develop the new service production and trading activities.

The postholder will provide supervision to a small group of adults with learning and physical disabilities in the decoration of high quality china and in the production of handmade soaps.

You will be expected to promote the sale of the day centre craft products within the local area through local retail outlets and through direct contact with the public.

The aim of all our activities is to promote service users confidence, independence and help to individuals to succeed and achieve their maximum potential.

It is essential that you have ceramics related arts qualification with experience in using pottery equipment and processors and in supporting others.

You must have a good general education demonstrating literacy and numeracy.

It would be desirable if you have technical qualification in ceramic production and experience in using pottery equipment and processors through business or teaching.
