The Governing body of this small but extremely successful First School, set in rural Northumberland, seeks to appoint a Unit Manager to join our team. The successful applicant will manage and contribute to the preparation and cooking of school meals, accommodating any special dietary requirements, following agreed menus.
Governors seek an individual who;
• Can work well demonstrating enthusiasm and a positive attitude.
• Place food orders with agreed suppliers. Manage and contribute to the receipt and safe storage of goods, stock control and necessary paperwork.
• Control of the servery.
• Manage and the washing up, setting up and clearing away of equipment and tables, cleaning of the kitchen and the surrounding area.
• Contribute to the catering provision at special events as required.
• Ensure compliance with Hygiene, Health and Safety legislation, financial regulations and School policy and procedures at all times.
This post is a fixed hours contract of 25 hours.
Successful applicants will receive the Northumberland Living Wage Supplement in addition to their basic salary.
