The post will be based in the Specialist Planning Services Team, which is responsible for, amongst other matters, planning for minerals and waste developments.
The post holder will undertake the monitoring of active and dormant minerals and waste planning permissions in the County and monitor compliance with all aspects of the planning permission.
The successful candidate will coordinate the work of officers to ensure that site visits are carried out in accordance with performance targets, investigate potential breaches of planning control or unauthorised developments, investigate and respond to complaints and enquiries, encourage best environmental practice and standards and lead on any formal enforcement action relating to minerals and waste sites.
