tier to 2-tier system of education. Ashington High became an 11-18 secondary school with a student population of
around 1,200.
Teacher of Computing
Required for a September 2017 start, governors are seeking to appoint a well-qualified, inspiring, innovative and
forward-thinking teacher to support us as part of our Computing team. You will be able to contribute towards
teaching across the full age and ability range, including KS3, GCSE & BTEC and KS5 (knowledge of Python &and Java
is essential) and will have the opportunity to develop and shape the school’s provision in this exciting curriculum
area. You will be joining a school with a very strong commitment to the professional development of all staff and
will be able to utilise your skills to lead CPD and develop colleagues in our recently refurbished Computing
Laboratory.
The post is in the salary range £22,467 - £38,250 and is suitable for experienced teachers and NQTs. A recruitment
allowance may be available for the right candidate.
