Northumberland County Council are looking to recruit a Planning Officers committed to delivering an efficient , effective and customer focused Development Management service that prioritises the delivery of sustainable development in accordance with the emerging Core Strategy to meet the economic, social and environmental needs of Northumberland.
If you have a working knowledge of dealing with development control matters along with a positive attitude and a wish to seek and deliver solutions, then we would like to hear from you. You should be enthusiastic and highly motivated.
You must be able to work effectively in partnership with Developers, agents, Elected Members, Parish Council’s and other stakeholders to deliver the Council’s priorities.
Candidates should have a relevant standard of education. The role requires an up-to-date knowledge of current Planning legislation, excellent analytical and negotiation skills, and good communication skills; both oral and written.
The suitable candidate will need to meet the transport requirements of the role.
Interview will be held on the 22 and 23 May 2017.
