James Calvert Spence College is situated in a beautiful coastal town in Northumberland and is a 9-19 through school, catering for students from Year 5 to Year 13. We are federated with a small rural First School in nearby Acklington Village, which allows us to educate children from reception to University.

Due to the relocation of the current postholder, an exciting opportunity has become available to lead a key department within this unique and improving federation

The Director of English works alongside 6 other colleagues at this level, holding a senior leadership position within the James Calvert Spence College federation.

You will use your accrued knowledge and leadership skills to ensure that all students receive the very best education and experience a seamless transition between year groups and phases.
