With changes to customer expectations and demands, this new role will form part of the council’s leadership team in ensuring that we provide the very best outcomes and respond innovatively and promptly to our residents across the county of Northumberland.
With a changing digital environment, ensuring that we have a strong and consistent set of customer services standards across all of our services will be a core focus for the successful postholder. Ensuring that we put our customers at the centre of everything that we do and ensuring that we provide high quality customer services and a broad cultural offer to our most vulnerable and hard to reach residents of Northumberland will also be a key priority.
The postholder will be responsible for Customer Services, Libraries, Cultural Services and Development which includes Tourism, Arts, Heritage, Leisure and Play. Ensuring that our county also has the very best facilities and services together with acting as the strategic commissioner and being responsible for contract management of the leisure services contract with our leisure provider will bring a broad portfolio of services together for the postholder to influence and deliver.
The successful candidate will have a successful track record in providing innovative and progressive customer services, be aware of the impact of and have experience of technology implementation to improve service delivery regardless of the customer channel choice.
