This is a fixed term contract to cover a maternity leave commencing March 2018.
Richard Coates is an incredible place to teach. We are looking to appoint a highly motivated, well organised and outstanding practitioner to teach humanities in Key Stage 3 and basic skills at Key Stage 2. Applications will be considered from both new and experienced teachers who have high expectations and promote high achievement. The post may be of particular interest to an NQT wishing to begin or complete their initial year. We can offer full induction and mentoring support.
The pupils’ behaviour is exemplary (Ofsted 2013) and the staff are a dedicated team of professionals who work closely and supportively with each other. The school is currently in transition from being a middle school to becoming a primary school and currently has over 500 pupils on roll. Located in Ponteland on the outskirts of Newcastle upon Tyne there are excellent public transport links, yet it enjoys the countryside benefits of being located within the picturesque county of rural Northumberland.
