This key role will be required to lead all areas of Finance and to fulfil the statutory role of Section 151 Officer obligations on behalf of the County Council. Being the designated Chief Finance Officer and working as part of the Executive Management Team, the postholder will ensure the development and delivery of the medium term financial plan for the council.
The post will ensure that activity is co-ordinated across the Council to deliver annual revenue and capital budgets in line with the strategic direction of the council.
With a demonstrable track record as a strong leader, the successful candidate will promote and ensure financial leadership across all areas of finance support throughout the council as well as pensions, treasury management, risk and insurance management.
