This is an excellent opportunity to be part of the Commissioning and Procurement Team at Newcastle City Council providing a professional Sourcing and Procurement service for the Trading and Resources category of the Council.
Within your category area you will be required to lead and deliver cashable savings, improved quality, social and business outcomes aligned to our Commissioning and Procurement Plan and help identify and deliver generation of new income streams.
You will be required to lead and mentor commissioning and Procurement colleagues.
You should be familiar with the commissioning and procurement cycle, category management; strategic supplier relationship management and possess commercial procurement acumen across major areas of council spend and understand the need for accordance with the Council’s Financial and Statutory Regulations and EU Public Procurement Regulations.
