We are looking to recruit Regulatory Enforcement Officers within our environmental protection team, which deals with waste regulation, pollution prevention and control, contaminated land, litter and dog control.

The role will be to help reduce environmental crime and anti-social behaviour by patrolling the city centre and neighbourhoods, reporting and investigating offences, engaging with communities and taking enforcement action.

The shift pattern will be 5 days over 7 to include Saturdays and Sundays. There will be some out-of-hours working.

You must be able to work independently as well as part of a team, be confident in a variety of situations and be able to walk for long periods of time. You will have experience of enforcing legislation, working with partner agencies and be a confident communicator with good organisational skills.
