Both posts will be based in the Commissioning and Procurement Team; Social Care
We are seeking to recruit two committed and creative individuals to join the Commissioning and Procurement Team, leading on social care for both children and adults within the People Directorate.
The successful candidates will be committed to raising the quality of services commissioned in Newcastle and the experience of these services for the City’s residents.
A high standard of written and verbal communication skills is essential along with a demonstrable knowledge and understanding of commissioning, quality and performance assessment principles (including the role of monitoring, procurement approaches) and outcomes based commissioning. You will be expected to demonstrate commercial procurement acumen across dedicated category areas of spend and be able to lead or contribute to large scale collaborative commissioning and procurement exercises with councils or other public sector partners to achieve better outcomes for the North East region.
