The Committee of Edwin Street Nursery, based at a popular and successful school, wish to appoint:
Early Years Teaching Assistant
Level 3, Band 4
Permanent post, Variable hours 10 – 32hrs per week, to start initially on 17.5 hrs per week, term time only, starting September 2018
The posts require:
a relevant level 3 qualification in Early Years such as NNEB, BTEC, NVQ or similar
knowledge and understanding of current Early Years childcare practice and childcare development.
recent experience of working with nursery age children (2 – 4 years old) in a group setting
experience of working in partnership with parents, carers, and other agencies
a good standard of written and oral English and Maths
Duties include
to assist with the planning of the curriculum,
to carry out observations and assessments
to help set up and tidy the learning environment (indoor and out)
to act as a key person to a small group of children,
to ensure that all children are kept safe
to undertake any other reasonable duties as directed by the Early Years Leader.
