The Governing Body of Shanklea Primary School are looking to appoint a Caretaker. We are looking for an energetic, hardworking, self-motivated, flexible person to work within the school providing effective and efficient site services including building security, cleaning, porterage, minor repairs and maintenance. Ideally, you will have experience of a similar premises work/experience of working in a school and practical DIY skills.
Applicants must take pride in their work and be committed to maintaining a clean and safe environment for all. You need to be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, be friendly and supportive when dealing with pupils, staff, visitors, external contractors and hirers of our school facilities.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff to share this commitment. An enhanced criminal records check is required for this post.
