The Governing Body of Shanklea Primary School are looking for 2 x KS1 teachers to join our “exceptional” school. Newly Qualified Teachers are welcome to apply and will be fully supported throughout.
The successful candidates will be working and planning alongside the other KS1 teachers to help maximise the British curriculum.
The Local Authority has judged the school “outstanding” this year. This is a unique time to join the school and to be part of their exciting journey forward. Due to promotion, we have a selection of posts available to join us from September 2018.
Shanklea Primary School is a two form entry school who provide a close-knit, supportive and dynamic learning community in Cramlington.
The school is an ambitious school that is looking to appoint two enthusiastic and committed class teachers to initially join our friendly and dedicated Year 1 team.
This role would be great for a teacher who is an experienced primary teacher or is looking to complete their NQT year. There is real potential for career development within this school. The school has a rich social mix of students and teachers. This would be an ideal opportunity for a teacher in their early career, who is looking to move into subject leadership.
Our students have a broad range of abilities; the successful candidates will need to show their experience through past references. They would also be required to demonstrate a great understanding of the primary curriculum and be able to work and plan well together with the other teachers in their year group.

The ideal candidate:
Must hold a UK QTS or PGCE
Be a good or outstanding practitioner with a commitment to excellence in all they do.
Be committed to the idea that high standards and creativity go hand in hand.
Have a professional attitude and able to work within a team
Must be creative in their approach to planning, delivering and assessing students
Flexible and able to differentiate their lessons
Create a happy, nurturing and stimulating environment for children
Be enthusiastic and self-motivated
Have a good knowledge of the Primary Curriculum in particular Key Stage one (KS1) and have exciting teaching ideas
The posts will be temporary positions until Friday 19th July 2019.
