The Senior Transport Network Officer will assume a leadership role within the the Council's Passenger Transport Team, managing a team of Transport Network Officers responsible for the planning, procurement and organisation of school transport and social services transport.
Ensuring compliance with both the Council's school transport policy commitments as well as statutory guidance, the post holder will also play a key role in improving the standards of operational delivery by taxi operators and bus companies though effective contract management and the roll-out of the Council's training programme for contract personnel.
The post holder will be highly motivated, be equipped with excellent interpersonal skills and have a calm and organised approach to work.
You should be educated to degree level or equivalent standard of education or have relevant work experience such as that gained from working in a transport, operational or customer service environment.
