ABOUT YOU

You will be a dynamic individual with a proven track record as a team manager.
You will have experience of managing a statutory child protection team and be confident and competent at making decisions to safeguard and protect children.
You will always want to hear the child’s voice and ensure that this is taken into account.
You will know how to measure and monitor practice and performance, to ensure individuals and the service as a whole operates to a consistently good standard.
You will have an extensive knowledge base in social work practice, displaying positive role modelling as a manager, continually developing and leading a team of social work staff.
You will have a sound knowledge base of the Knowledge and Skills Statement for Child and Family Social work which will be embedded within all elements of practice.
You will ensure supervision is reflective while case managing effectively.
You will be passionate about maximising a child’s life chances to improve their overall outcomes

You should hold a relevant Social Work qualification such as the Social Work Degree, DipSW, CQSW or CSS and be registered with the HCPC. You should also have a minimum of three years post qualifying experience.
