Lunchtime Playworkers at Wooler First School:
Lunchtime Playworkers required – Band 1

We are looking for hardworking, motivated and caring lunchtime playworkers to join our dedicated lunchtime team on our shared campus here in Wooler. You will support and supervise our children during their lunchtimes. The role will encompass working with our younger children in the First School as they eat their lunch in the school hall before organising and supporting outside play for the children. You will need to be physically fit, enjoy working with children and like playing games. You will also need to be confident to give children guidance on their behaviour, help them to resolve disputes and manage social interactions. The successful candidate will engage fully in the life and work of the schools here in Wooler.

The successful candidate will be a dedicated, caring and enthusiastic individual who has a real passion for learning and play. Childcare qualifications and experience of working with children to engage them in play and learning are desirable. You will enjoy challenges, be self-motivated, and demonstrate considerable skill and a passion for learning.

Hours and Pay Scale – 5 hours per week, Mondays to Fridays 12 noon to 1.00pm
Band 1 Point 6 - 9 - £16,394 to £16,755 (pro rata = £1,855 to £1,895 gross) subject to term time adjustment.
