The Transport Network Officer will play a key role in the organisation of school transport and social services transport for the County Council. Assessing a child's entitlement to free school transport is a key part of the role as is the need to ensure the transport arrangements put in place take account of the service user's needs. Another critical aspect of the role is to ensure best use is made of public money when determining journey arrangements for service users. A good geographical knowledge of the County of Northumberland, excellent IT and customer service skills are essential skill sets for this key role.
