Kyloe House is secure children’s home that offers education for up to 15 young people aged 10 - 17. We are seeking to develop the Leadership Team and are inviting applications for a Deputy Head of Education for September 2018.
You will be joining a newly appointed, dynamic and flexible staff team, supported by experienced care workers, committed to enabling our young people to achieve in all areas of their lives .

This is a mixed school for up to 15 secondary age pupils who require a therapeutic and nurturing learning environment within a secure setting
An attractive rural area location just outside Morpeth
Committed to the personal development of pupils and staff
Has high aspirations for the education of young people
Embraces vocation learning and after school activities
Well resourced classrooms and newly developed vocational learning facilities. .

We are looking for a individual who can form effective and engaging relationships for learning with all colleagues and young people. We wish to appoint an effective leader who will continue the development of our current high quality care and learning provision. The individual should bring creativity and innovation to developing a curriculum that meets individual needs, and be able to oversee the development of the provision that gives flexibility across key stages and subjects. A new member of the leadership team will need an engaging personality and a commitment to young people’s learning . We require the successful candidate to be:

A highly motivated and inspirational teacher with a successful track record in working with children with a wide range of educational needs
Able to understand data and its use for assessment to drive the school forwards
An experienced and creative leader with excellent communication, interpersonal skills and a high level of resilience
A team player who is able to respect others, motivate, lead, support and challenge
A strategic thinker who is able to motivate and inspire
Able to teach a core curriculum subject e.g Maths, English or science.
