To apply for this job you must be at least 21 years old. The Children’s Homes National Minimum Standards states: “All care staff are at least 18 years old, and staff who are given sole responsibility for children or a management role are at least 21 years old. Within this requirement no person works in a children’s home unless they are at least four years older than the oldest child accommodated.” (Standard 17.11)

Subsequently, this post is exempt under Section 5 of the Equality Act 2010.

You will work under the direction of the team leader or shift co-ordinator to ensure the effective care of each young person.

You must have a good general education and be willing and able to undertake relevant training up to NVQ Level 2/3 Care Awards.

This role requires you to work to a shift pattern that includes sleep ins.

Assessments and interviews will take place week on the 21st August 2018 and formal interviews will take place on the 22nd August 2018.

We have a mixture of both permanent contracts and fixed term contracts at Kyloe House and a permanent post as Coanwood.
