Northumberland Learning & Skills Service currently administers its own supply of sessional lecturers who undertake assessing, lecturing, learner support and administration work at various Adult Learning Centres across the County. Delivery takes place during the day, evenings and weekends.

We are seeking to appoint enthusiastic, innovative individuals to join our team, to teach Bricklaying at our Ashington and Alnwick centres. The successful candidate will be well-motivated, qualified and ready to teach across a range of programmes at levels 1 to 3, within our construction department.

You should be educated to at least NVQ level 3 or equivalent in a specific vocational area and hold assessor and/or IV qualifications. Preferably you will already have a teaching certificate. Recent experience within the construction sector will also be an advantage.

The appointment offers a number of opportunities to play a key role in driving forward the quality of our construction department and expanding our Adult Learning & Apprenticeship provision, as well as the offer to develop programs for local partnerships and employers, working alongside a highly successful team.
