Northumberland County Council are seeking to recruit a motivated and customer focused individual to join our Information Governance team.
The Information Governance Officer will be responsible for assisting the Senior Information Governance Officer to deliver Information Governance compliance across Northumberland County Council. The post will also provide supervision to the Information Governance Support Officer, ensuring that they are working effectively and receive the appropriate training and support to fulfill their role.
The post will support the delivery of an effective and efficient information governance service to both internal and external customers, providing detailed advice and compliance support in line with legal and statutory obligations including General Data Protection Regulation, Data Protection Act, Freedom of Information Act and Environmental Information Regulation.
Experience of working to deadlines and prioritisation of workload, dealing with members of the public, good written and oral skills are key requirements of the post. The post will also be responsible for monitoring trends and providing statistics on information requests to the Senior Information Governance Officer, supporting the development of reports as and when required.
