The Committee of this Nursery provision, based at a popular and successful school, wish to appoint:
Temporary Early Years Teaching Assistant to cover maternity leave in nursery
Level 3, Band 4, variable hours 20 – 27¼, to start at 27 ¼ hrs per week (for at least 2 terms), term time only, starting January 2019
The post requires:
- a relevant level 3 qualification such as NNEB, BTEC, NVQ or similar
(preferred but not essential in Early Years)
- knowledge and understanding of current Early Years childcare practice and
childcare development.
- recent experience of working with nursery/school age children in a group
setting
- experience of working in partnership with parents, carers, and other
agencies
- a good standard of written and oral English and Maths
Duties include
- to assist with the planning of the curriculum,
- to carry out observations and assessments
- to help set up and tidy the learning environment (indoor and out)
- to act as a key person to a small group of children,
- to ensure that all children are kept safe
- to undertake any other reasonable duties as directed by the Early Years
Leader.
