Part of the Eden Academy Trust family of schools, Hexham Priory is a school for pupils with complex learning difficulties aged 2 to 19 years. The Local Advisory Board is seeking to appoint Lunchtime Supervisors with immediate effect to support the work in school. Both permanent and casual/supply roles are available.
Previous experience of working with children and/or working with children or young people with learning disabilities is desirable. The successful applicant must be able to work as part of a team as well as being able to use initiative when appropriate. The successful candidate will be expected to work with pupils of all ages and to undertake all activities as required during their time at the school.
The successful candidate will work under the guidance of classroom staff to provide general support to the class in the management and care of pupils over the lunchtime period. Intimate care duties, supporting feeding and drinking along with supporting yard duties will be part of the role.
These posts are variable hours’ contracts between 7.5 and 10 hours - initially for 10 hours per week, term time only.
