The above vacancy has arisen within our Property Services Team. As a Statutory Maintenance Officer you will implement/assist with the annual maintenance periodic testing and inspection program and other planned maintenance programmes across all County Council owned establishments. You will monitor external partner organisations in the delivery of the building maintenance service, determining the quality of workmanship and effectiveness of repairs undertaken, ensuring service delivery complies with current health and safety and other relevant legislation.

Educated to HND/ONC level and having relevant electrical qualifications is essential as the role involves working on electrical compliance issues in commercial properties. A sound knowledge of various electrical services e.g. fixed electrical testing, lift maintenance, fire alarms servicing, emergency lighting testing etc. would also be desirable. You must have a flexible approach to working arrangements as this post is a mixture of office/building based working with regular visits to buildings within the portfolio, therefore you must also be able to meet the transport requirements.
