We are looking for two enthusiastic solicitors or barristers to join our busy Children’s Social Care Legal Team based in Newcastle upon Tyne city centre.

The part-time post from mid-June 2019 and the full time post from August 2019.

The primary focus of these posts is to run a complex and varied caseload of care and placement proceedings but also to provide effective legal advice in respect of fostering, adoption and other general children’s social care matters. You would be expected to undertake a level of advocacy commensurate with your experience.

A working knowledge of care proceedings is necessary. Experience of working in a local authority would be advantageous, however lawyers from private practice will also be considered as you would be working as part of an experienced and supportive Team.
