The Service

Tynedale House provides support to people with a learning disability and some associated complex health care needs. The service provides a 24 bed residential unit for older people with learning disabilities, and a 6 bed respite unit for people over the age of 18.

The role

The post holder will be expected to lead a shift within the service, and deputise in the managers absence
Your duties will include medication administration, development and evaluation of care plans, management of staff including allocation of tasks, supervision and appraisal.
We provide a 24 / 7 service and there is an expectation to work weekends and public holidays.
Recent experience in care is essential and experience working with this client group is desired.

We are offering:
A starting salary of £20,422 pro rata

You should hold an NVQ level 3 in Health and Social care or the equivalent

Essential requirements:
A good general education demonstrating literacy and numeracy
NVQ 3 (or equivalent)
Recent experience of care work with a relevant client group
Able to use word processing, e-mail and internet software on a PC
Able to write detailed clear instructions, case notes and reports
Understands the need to respect confidentiality, privacy, dignity, independence, choice, rights and fulfilment of service users
Follow policies and procedures, Guidance, CQC Standards and Code of Conduct, whilst keeping to schedules.
Adapt to change by adopting a flexible and cooperative attitude
