The Service
Our mission in Customer Service is to ‘REACH’; Resolve enquiries at first point of contact, Engage with Customers for successful outcomes, Achieve the best level of service we can, Connect people with what they need and Help Customers to help themselves. We achieve this via a network of 9 offices which customers can visit for face to face interactions and a contact centre which is the first point of telephone contact for the Council. We are also transforming our self service offer. We look to resolve all enquiry types at the first point of contact wherever possible for a huge variety of enquiry types including; housing benefit, council tax, blue badges, concessionary travel, housing, household waste, highways, planning and much much more!

We are ideally situated, predominantly in the South of Northumberland, with great connections across the County as well as Newcastle and North Tyneside by road or public transport.

The role
It is an exciting time for Customer Service at Northumberland County Council and if you are someone who can gather, manipulate, analyse and report data, this is the role for you!

We are looking for an enthusiastic, dynamic and flexible individual with data gathering and analysis experience to help us to continue to transform our services in Northumberland and be the best we can be for our Customers. You will have a key role in supporting us to create a first class service for customers to connect with us digitally, by telephone, or in person, as you analyse all the data available to understand what it is telling us, where we need to direct our resources and the best way to improve our service. With a proven record in this type of role, you will have an excellent analytical mind and ability to use spreadsheets to interpret and report data in a variety of forms to spot trends and make recommendations for service improvements.

We are offering:
A salary of £27,905 - £31,371
