Working for the City Council in Newcastle isn’t like any other job. Everything we do has an impact on the people that live in our City so our commitment, diligence and energy have to be second to none.

As a Community Wellbeing Team we have high aspirations and are committed to delivering a varied programme of work that promotes and puts into action our commitment to working in equal partnership with people using services and their carers; leading to the transformation of social care whilst keeping to our financial targets.

We are seeking to recruit committed and creative individuals to join a team leading on areas across the social care and inclusion agenda, helping to improve people’s lives and transform the way we work together.

You should be passionate about ensuring all people we support, and the local community have opportunities to influence services at a local, regional and national level.

You will have a demonstratable knowledge of asset-based approaches and co-production principles, who promote service user, carer and community involvement in all aspects of their work.

The post will suit individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and are confident working independently and with team members from a range of professions.

The post holder will need to be creative, open to new thinking and act as a positive change agent and should be an inspirational individual who can bring people together across the city, embracing new ways of working to meet the needs of the people we support.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a team focussed on improving services delivered to the residents of Newcastle.
