We are now recruiting for 2 part time Gallery Interpreters to support the forthcoming exhibition at the Hatton Gallery; ARTIST ROOMS Roy Lichtenstein which runs from 28th September 2019 to 4th January 2019. ARTIST ROOMS Roy Lichtenstein offers a rare opportunity to see such an important collection of the artist’s work in the North East.
Successful candidates will work to a 4-week rota which will include rostered weekend working.
As a Gallery Interpreter you will be involved in providing excellent customer service to all visitors and provide interpretative services to members of the public, schools and visitors to the gallery. You will assist visitors in their understanding and enjoyment of the gallery and exhibition and ensure that it is well presented and maintained. You will also assist visitors with equipment piloting an immersive AR experience designed to enhance visitor experience offering spoken information through a headset and gather feedback on their use.
What we are looking for:
• People who have excellent customer service skills and a passion for and enjoy working with customers and the public at all times.
• Are flexible and willing to help the Museum and galleries deliver the best possible service at all times
• Are flexible and adaptable and enjoy working as a part of a team.
Applicants will have experience in a customer-facing role and a commitment to engaging with visitors.
