Team Leader - Northumberland Family Time (Contact) Service

Do you want to join an enthusiastic, motivated Service?

The Northumberland Family Time (Contact) Service supervise family time sessions for children and families across the county of Northumberland. We supervise family time contacts within our dedicated contact venues and within the community, observing, monitoring and completing a record of sessions. We work in partnership with the locality Social Work teams from which we receive all referrals, promoting and supporting contact between children and their families.

The main element of the role is to lead and supervise a team of Contact Officers to provide and support the delivery of an outstanding Contact Service to children, young people and families in Northumberland who require social care intervention.


We are looking for people who have experience of working with children, young people and families, experience of working in a supervisory role, formally supervising staff and performance management.


Applicants should also have a NVQ/Diploma Level 3 in childcare/social care or equivalent, and have access to their own transport along with a full driving licence.

This post is based in Ashington and is 18 hours per week. The job pattern will be Mondays and Tuesdays and a further half day. The starting salary is £24313 - 26999 pro rata.
