Walker Riverside Academy is looking to appoint a Teacher of SEND and a possible TLR for the right candidate to help in the running of the Department, to ensure that successful teaching and learning and development of the department takes place. The successful applicant will be an outstanding teacher whose performance has a significant impact on the progress of all learners.

They should be able to demonstrate initiative, flexibility and an ability to work co-operatively with Learning Support staff, Subject Leaders, Year Leaders and class teachers about students with SEND. Under the direction of the SENDCo, they will be expected to manage and deploy available resources, including assisting in the day to day line management of staff working within the department

This Academy is totally committed to child safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and all applications will be closely scrutinised to this end. The successful applicant will be required to obtain an Enhanced Certificate of Disclosure from the DBS and pass a range of other recruitment checks.
