The Service
Following a review of our Housing Service we have developed a new Income Team and are looking to recruit two highly motivated and experienced individuals to deliver and help develop a quality Income Management Service.


The role
Reporting to the Income Manager, you will be responsible for providing a comprehensive debt recovery service to support the coordination and delivery of income collection and recovery services in line with Northumberland County Council’s recovery process and other policies and procedures,maximising rent and service charge income.

You will manage a portfolio of arrears cases throughout the escalation process to ensure the service is accessible and responsive, supporting tenants, residents and other NCC staff to provide advice and guidance in the recovery process, including the receipt of payments using appropriate technology, identifying priority debts and arranging repayment plans.

We are looking for people who have a passion for income collection and sustaining tenancies and who like to work in partnership with other services and external organisations and who can contribute to the development and implementation of measures to mitigate the impact of Welfare Reform and Universal Credit.
