This vacancy is being advertising internally in the first instance to employees and agency workers of Northumberland County Council. Where it is not possible to appoint from the existing workforce, the vacancy may subsequently be released to external candidates. You will provide a clerical and typing service supporting the Central Locality Team within Children’s Services and will report directly to the District Admin Manager. You must have a good standard of general education demonstrating numeracy and literacy. Recent experience in a similar position or a completed Apprenticeship is also essential. You will have experience of telephone and reception duties and good written and verbal communication skills.

Essential requirements are:
- Typing/Word Processing qualification of equivalent experience
- GCSE/O'level in Maths and English (Grade A-C) or Level 2 Key Skills/Functional Skills in Literacy and Numeracy

This is a full-time, permanent post based at Ashington.
The salary starts at £18,065. 
The closing date will be 23 October 2019 at midnight.
