Further Information
Newcastle is a great city – great staff doing great things for a great city
We are Proud, Fair and Ambitious – We are Newcastle

Newcastle City Council has exciting ambitions for its culture, tourism and events offers.

We are an early adopter of the Arts Council and DCMS culture compacts; we are concluding an extensive consultation on a new culture vision; we are re-energising our cultural partnerships; and are committed to developing a world class events pipeline. We want to build on our innovative Newcastle culture Investment Fund, and Great City Fund to secure the best possible cultural programmes for the city.

Newcastle, with its local authority partners, is also currently developing a transformational culture, tourism and events programme for the new North of Tyne Combined Authority.

We need an energetic, resilient and enthusiastic person to join our senior team and lead the implementation and ongoing development of these ambitions. You’ll be passionate about culture and events, have demonstrable relevant experience, be a committed partnership worker, excellent communicator, and an avid networker.
