The team of Parking & Processing Assistants manage the journey of the Penalty Charge Notices (PCNs) issued, this includes processing informal and formal challenges efficiently, effectively ensuring that responses are timely, impartial and completed within set timelines and quality guidelines.  The team also assist with the production of cases for submission to the Traffic Penalty Tribunal.   The team offer advice and guidance on the progress of PCNs, the Traffic Management Act 2004, the Council's Parking policies, Traffic Regulation Orders (TROs) and relevant legislation to customers, CEOs, Customer Service Advisors, and Citizen Advice. Other duties of the role include the management of dispensations and suspensions requests, processing and distributing a range of parking permits, management of the distribution of parking discs to suppliers and area offices and the management of Fixed Penalty Notice’s through the legal system.

You must be able to talk at ease with customers, and have significant experience of clerical and administration procedures, IT and word processing systems and experience of dealing with difficult and irate customers. 
You should have experience of working in a high pressure office environment with a strong focus on delivering excellent customer service.
You must have excellent letter writing skills, a good general standard of education and have knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations and Traffic Regulation Orders associated with traffic/parking matters.
