Newcastle City Learning wishes to recruit enthusiastic and innovative tutors to develop design, plan and deliver high quality learning opportunities and experiences for learners across the city. This will include a range of courses, ranging from short introductory workshops, through to tutoring on higher level accredited courses, which may be funded or full cost and/or apprenticeships.

We expect all staff to work to the “Newcastle City Learning Way” which sets out service expectations and standards. We expect and support staff to set consistently high aspirations for, and expectations of, themselves and learners.

Applicants will have:
• Teaching qualification (Bed, Cert Ed or equivalent)
• Level 4 Literacy/ Numeracy/ESOL qualification/as appropriate (for specialist areas).
• Experience of curriculum development and monitoring and evaluating learning.
• Use of own vehicle, and valid driving licence, or able to travel across the city using public transport.

Tutor in ESOL - applicants must possess ESOL teaching specialism.
Tutor for LDD provision – applicants must possess LDD teaching specialism and be able to deliver independent living, art and employability programmes.
