25 hours per week
Term time - 38 weeks, plus 1 training day to be worked during school closure as directed by the school.

Benton Park is an inclusive, friendly and creative primary school. We require a hardworking and committed individual to join our highly motivated school team.

This post will be required Monday to Friday 7:30am to 9:00am and 2:30pm to 6:00pm each day.

The successful candidate will hold a Level 3 qualification linked to working with children (or equivalent level qualification) and have recent experience of working with young children (3-11) in a play scheme or learning environment.

The ability to plan, structure and direct high quality provision for our children, often through play, is essential to the role, as is a patient and encouraging disposition.

Applications are welcome from those with school based, play scheme, children’s social care and nursery experience. The successful candidate will oversee and manage, with support from our EYFS lead, a dedicated and hard working team of people, committed to providing the very best for our children both before and after school; a vital service for school community.

We are strongly committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. The successful candidate will be required to obtain a Certificate of Disclosure from the DBS.

As this post involves working with children, vulnerable adults or dealing with sensitive information, written references will be taken up and made available to interviewers before the final selection stage; even if you indicate otherwise.

Please contact the school office on 0191 266 5122 if you would like further information.

Closing Date: Friday 14 February at noon (please download the application form
and safer recruitment forms to apply for this post). Please email applications for the attention of Dominic Martin Headteacher to office@bentonparkprimary.co.uk.

Interviews will take place on Friday 28 February 2020.
