Working with Sue and her brilliant team, we are looking to recruit a new Early Years Practitioner to plan activities, create exciting ways to meet the needs of families with under 5s, and work with families on an individual basis to give children the ""very best start"".

Ideal candidates are passionate, hard working and dedicated to helping to improve the lives of children and their families.

Salary is £9777-10582 per annum with working hours Monday and Tuesday 8.30 am to 4.30 pm and Wednesday 8.30 am to 12.15 pm.  Main base is Hexham Sure Start Children's Centre, with outreach delivery.This is a permanent position.

As you would expect, we are looking for self motivated and responsible applicants. with good communication skills.  You will enjoy working as part of a team, but are equally as happy when you use your own initiative and work independently to manager your commitments.

A level 3 Childcare qualification is essential, as is a good depth of understanding and knowledge of child development, with a focus on early years.  Experience of working with parents is a must.
