The Service
The Council’s in-house Legal Services Team seek to recruit an experienced and knowledgeable property lawyer.

The role  
You will have experience in advising clients on a full range of property matters  such as commercial transactions, disposals and acquisitions and landlord and tenant matters.  
Candidates will be involved from simple landlord and tenant matters up to complex development agreements, development projects including transport related matters and high value commercial property transactional work and therefore variety is guaranteed. You will be self-motivated and able to work effectively as a member of a wider interdisciplinary team. You will have experience of providing legal advice at the appropriate client levels and managing a busy and varied caseload.  

Your role will involve delivering tailored advice to tight deadlines and liaising closely with instructing officers with regard to all areas of your work. 
This role offers an opportunity to work at the heart of Local Government and you will join the Corporate and Governance team within Legal Services. 

A qualified solicitor or barrister or fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives holding a current practising certificate, you will bring plenty of in-depth knowledge in the area of commercial property law. With relevant experience in this area, you will advise and communicate with in-house clients and colleagues.
You will have an eye for detail and good organisational skills which will enable you to carry a substantial workload.
Flexible and innovative in your approach, you will help us to positively develop new areas of practice.

- A starting salary of £ 36,876 - £40,760 per annum (Band 9)
