The Governors of Ravenswood Primary School in Newcastle are looking for an outstanding primary teacher to join our excellent staff team. The school is happy to accept applicants from all phases of primary education. The post will be a fixed term for one year, pending permanent appointment. The successful candidate will need to be able to build strong and supportive working relationships with pupils, staff and parents and nurture a love of learning in our pupils.

Ravenswood Primary School is a community whose purpose is learning. Outstanding relationships are built between all members of the School community and these promote excellent behaviour and educational success. We are a large primary school with a Nursery and three form entry throughout Reception and Key Stages 1 and 2. We have a wonderful diversity of pupils and incredibly supportive parents and carers. We have extensive grounds and a thriving extra-curricular provision.

The school is strongly committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. The successful applicant will be required to obtain an enhanced Certificate of Disclosure from the DBS and a range of other recruitment checks.

As this post involves working with children, vulnerable adults or dealing with sensitive information, written references will be taken up and made available to interviewers before the final selection stage; even if you indicate otherwise.
