This is an exciting opportunity to lead the roll-out of the Business and Intellectual Property Centre (BIPC) Newcastle, creating new BIPC Hubs and extending services into Library Services across the region. As a member of the Economic Development Team, within the City Futures Directorate, you will build local partnerships and generate business support activity within localities, delivering BIPC services to support new business start-ups and business growth.

You should demonstrate a background in marketing and promoting a service offer, a commitment to delivering high quality business support services and working in partnership with public and private sector partners to develop collaborative delivery practices and to secure additional funding. You will also have excellent communication and organisational skills and the ability to work with IT, manage change and use initiative.

The postholder will undergo Intellectual Property training and will be required to work flexibly with regular travel between BIPC Hubs, throughout the region.
