Further Information
We are looking to recruit a Library and Information Officer on a 2.5 year fixed term contract.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Community Hubs and Libraries’ Business & IP Centre Team within the Operations and Regulatory Services directorate of Newcastle City Council.

Thanks to funding from central government we are looking to expand the Business & IP Centre offer across several areas of the north east region.

You will support the provision and development of high quality, customer focused business information and support services in our libraries, partner buildings and in newly established Business & IP Centres across the region.

You should demonstrate a commitment to high quality customer service and innovative service development, hold excellent organisational skills and the ability to work with IT, manage change and use initiative.

You should have experience of delivering one-to-one support, presentations and of working in a library or business support environment.

You will be required to work flexibly across the region which may include evening and weekend working. Regular travel will be required so a driving licence and access to a car will be advantageous.
